SFFMA Status on Database/Certification System Update

SFFMA, the developers, and the user's group continue to make progress on finalizing access and testing of the certification and association management software system.

Due to the size of SFFMA's data (over 20million records) and the complexity of the database, the launch of the access to the general membership has been delayed.   There are numerous people assigned to this project including all SFFMA staff, the software developers and the SFFMA certification test user's group who are working to get all the outstanding items resolved and tested so that we can provide you a much better certification system and association management system.  We are working diligently on this project every day so that we can give our membership access to the data and system.

Some of the NEW features you will see are:

*Ability for a Fire Chief and/or Training Coordinator to have administrative access to their departments records to be able to do such things such as update memberships, generate invoices, pay for invoices, do certification bulk entry of classes/objectives, and certification customized/saved reports. Also, the process of applying for a certification will become easier and more automated which will allow for a quicker approval and issuance of a certification application.  Chiefs and Coordinators will have the ability to do many administrative tasks that SFFMA staff have had to do in the past.

*Individual Firefighters ability to login to the Infohub, view all certifications and progress toward a certification.

Some of the "How To" videos are done and there will be a few more added to this page once the fixes are in place for a couple of outstanding items.

We will be sending out a broadcast notice on access to the system and setting up your member portal once everything has been completed and tested.

We appreciate your patience and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

Thank you,
